Elizabeth is 17 months old today! I thought I should do an update of all she is doing/saying these days! She is getting so big and thinks she needs to do everything that Madilynn is doing. She's now a climber...nothing is safe! She can now climb onto the couch, chair, ottoman, dining room chairs and even up onto the table. We have to keep the chairs all the way pushed in, so she doesn't get up onto the table!
She loves playing with the blocks and can even stack a few!

One morning this week I went to get a picture of her coloring at the table and when she saw the camera she said, "cheeeeese!" and this is the picture I got. Her eyes are closed in just about every picture - they just don't like that flash.
Elizabeth has been saying many words lately. So much that Michael and I decided to start writing them down this week as we heard them. We came up with over 20 words that Elizabeth is saying already! Ready? Here they are...hello, bye bye, Dada, Mama, more, all done, thank you, shoes, no, dog, meow meow, belly button, baby, nose, eye, bowl, cheese, alright, Nana, Papa, up, ball, choo choo(for train).She loves to find her belly button and show you, just this week she's figured out that Michael and I have belly buttons too. She tries to lift up my shirt to find it and it's so funny! She calls herself baby when looking at pictures along with every other baby or toddler. When it's time to eat and I ask her to go to her chair she says, "alright". It's so funny I guess I've said it to her a lot. And anytime she wants picked up or you to hold her she says, "up", which is really nice instead of squealing or something.
We've been working wooden puzzles lately and she is able to match the piece to the picture and even fit it into the right spot sometimes.
Her favorite song this week is Itsy Bitsy Spider. She puts her fingers together like she's making the spider and says, "mama, mama" for me to sing the song with her. If I try to sing any other song she says, "no" and shows me the spider again - so funny!!
Tuesday morning we got some snow, so the girls helped me make some banana bread - so good!
Wednesday before lunch (Madilynn was at preschool) Elizabeth busied herself for an hour with the box of crayons and a coloring book!

somehow she got herself in this position and I had to help.
Thursday I put this little clip in her hair and it was so cute - she wore it all morning!
She loves to read books and point out things like babies, cats, balls, dog, and any other animal which she normally calls, "meow". Everything makes that sound these days, she even says that to the deer in the backyard. Then I told her it was a deer and she repeated, "deer" - there's a word I missed!
