Fun pictures...

Not sure what to call this post, I just have lots of fun/good pictures to share!

Eva on the butterfly quilt!
This quilt was made by their great-Granny before Madilynn was born and all of the girls have gotten to enjoy it!

She's found her hands/fingers and loves to try to eat them!

precious smiles is what we are getting these days!! And for the big news....She's sleeping all night (has been for the last week, 8-9hrs.) yeah!!

Mommy is loving the extra sleep!

Thursday afternoon we got some pictures with our pumpkins on the porch...

When we came in Madilynn wanted to hold Eva again, so I got another picture!

Saturday afternoon I took Madilynn to get her haircut. She was excited to have it cut too! Before

After!

we love it! As Elizabeth would say, "I love it"! That's her new phrase sometimes it's "I like it" and sometimes it's "I love it". I kind of used it on her the other day and it worked...I was putting her in the seat in the Wal-Mart basket and she didn't want to sit there she wanted to walk and hold on to the basket. So, as I sat her in it I said in her way, "I love it when you sit in the basket and obey Mommy", and she said "I love it". It was great - a success!

Last Week & Fall Break Weekend!

Last week after dropping Madilynn off at piano class Elizabeth got to play outside for a little while

She enjoyed it! She kept telling me "play outside!" Saying, "cheese" really big.
Wednesday I got Eva to give my big smiles...

lately a smile has included sticking her tongue out as well...

After her bath

so sweet!

Friday was Fall Break here, so Michael didn't have any students Thursday or Friday. So, Friday afternoon after naps we took the girls to the little zoo in town and then to the park.

Havin fun!

Elizabeth's first time to go down this big slide! So excited that she did it all by herself she had to go down again just before we left! This is quite an accomplishment considering when she first went up she couldn't even walk across the platform to the slide due to the height and being able to see through, she just dropped to her knees and started crying.

Saturday afternoon (after the Razorback game) a friend came over to watch the girls and Michael and I went on a hike to the wind cave.

This was my first time hiking in the mountains. It was fun to get out and see the beautiful views! The trail was fairly steep you climb 900ft. in 1.3miles.

Here is the wind cave from a distance...

The views were beautiful with the fall colors...

we are standing on top of the cave

Here's the view to the left from standing on top of the cave

The view to the right from on top of the cave

on our way back down - pretty trees

Michael took this video inside the cave - another hiker was playing a bagpipe. Pretty cool to get to experience it with the music! I'm just glad he thought to get a video!

Eva having a conversation with me

Sunday we spent time outside after lunch. We planted tulip and daffodil bulbs in the front. The girls got to help and they enjoyed that. We are getting the yard ready for winter -putting everything away. Then Michael and the girls went out again after naps and washed all the windows! The girls enjoyed all the time they had outside and they say they can't wait for snow!

Eva is 2 months old

Eva turned 2 months old on Monday (October 10th)!

We had her 2mo. dr. appt. this morning and she is now weighing in at 10lbs. 11oz. (50th percentile) and she is 23 in. long (75th percentile). So she's right on track and doing well! At 2 mo. old Eva is sleeping 6-7 hrs. continuously at night and she eats 4 oz. every 3 hrs. during the day. She naps really well, goes to sleep on her own. She is awake probably an hour to an hour and a half. She watches things with her eyes and is really trying to talk to us. Just in the last couple of days we've noticed she's found her hands and brings them up to her mouth. She smiles so big and sticks out her tongue like she wants to laugh so bad! She carries on cooing conversations with us and makes eye contact. She loves to see Daddy and gives him such big smiles (as evidenced in the previous post), and she's so interested in watching her big sisters. They love her so much!

Here she is in the chair. I had to get a pic with the whole chair so we can keep up with how little she really is right now!

Giving me a smile - trying to laugh. She must've liked the flash because she just did this while I was taking pictures.
Elizabeth & Eva

Eva is doing great at tummy time holding her head up so good and high. The doctor saw her do that today and said she looked like a 4mo. old.

so sweet

smile

an attempt to get all 3 - ha!

Madilynn & Eva

Here's a video showing how Eva is smiling and cooing...

Pumpkin Patch

Last week the weather changed quite dramatically on us. We went from 80 degree days and 40 degree nights to 40-50 degree days with lots of rain and 30 degree nights. Quite a cool down. Tuesday morning the clouds rolled in over the mountains. Here's the view out our living room to the west. The sun is rising and reflecting onto these mountains (7:57am)...

Tuesday we enjoyed hanging out around the house in our pajamas till about lunch time. I went through Madilynn & Elizabeth's clothes/closets and put away all the summer stuff and got out the fall/winter stuff. Man - that was a lot of work! I'm still procrastinating on getting mine done! Elizabeth loved these house shoes we found in the box of clothes for her (they were Madilynn's).
by noon time the sun was out for a little while...

Eva giving me some smiles!

the girls riding on Daddy's feet - not sure what he'll do when Eva wants to do it too! Madilynn might be too big by then (what a sad day!)

Friday all dressed in a pretty outfit!

visiting with Daddy while he was home for lunch

one of my favorite pictures...just precious!

Saturday morning we headed to the pumpkin patch to pick some pumpkins

in our Razorback attire, of course!

Daddy documented as you can see, so I got to be in some pictures!

here's the pumpkins we picked

Here's the view Saturday afternoon - lots of snow up there!

Sunday after church we had potato soup in a pumpkin bread bowl for lunch - yummy!!!

still trying to catch an Eva smile - that seems to be my mission lately

Well the cooler weather has kept us inside a little more but we've enjoyed football, movies, and our fireplace a lot more over the last week!
