Thanksgiving Week!

We had a big week! Granny & Pepaw (possible name change to "Gramps') came to visit us for the week. Gramps meeting Eva for the first time...

Sunday afternoon we went over to the ice-skating rink during the public skate to let the girls give it a try. The last time we were there almost 2 years ago - Madilynn didn't care for it and just wanted Daddy to carry her - so that was Elizabeth this time!

Not wanting her picture taken

ready to take off!

this was about as far as Elizabeth got, then Daddy carried her

Madilynn used what they called a walker and did really well! I think if I got out there I'd need the walker - ha!!

still havin' fun! Madilynn lasted the entire hour and a half - she loved it!

Tuesday morning we did a little finger painting!

they loved it and made several paintings!

Michael and I got out for a little date on Tuesday night and went to see the movie Courageous. It was good, but I don't know if I've ever cried so much through a movie at the theatre.

Wednesday was Granny's birthday! She spent the day with the big girls at the fun park and then to lunch. We all went to dinner together and then had cupcakes at home!

The table all set for our Thanksgiving meal

our spread...a lot to be thankful for!

So after eating way too much at lunch, and getting a little rest/naptime we went to do some roller skating! Again this is about as far as Elizabeth got and then the skates came off and she enjoyed just running around us while we skated we were the only ones there skating!

Eva was just hanging out...

Granny & Daddy being silly!

All of us (that were skating)

Madilynn really started to get the hang of it right about the time we were ready to go.

Mommy & Eva

sweet baby sleeping...

Saturday we decided to get the Christmas decor out and put up our tree. Daddy got it all together and fluffed out...

Eva hung out and watched us

Then the big girls and I got to work decorating it!

I didn't have a good finished tree picture, they were all blury, so we'll have to get one of those soon! Well, today is Monday and we're all feeling it, but ready to get back into our routines! Thank you God for our time together, and thank you for our many blessings!

Give thanks in all circumstances for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

the last week or so...

Sweet Eva ready for church (a couple of weeks ago!)

my new favorite picture -

Daddy & Eva

the mountains are beautiful when covered in snow!

By last Wednesday most of the snow had melted and we were able to work on getting the leaves up out of the yard. We spent a few hours in the afternoon (before it got dark) getting up all we could since more snow was coming on Friday.

big smiles

So...the table project I mentioned. We got it to the point we wanted it just in time for Thanksgiving week. Last Sunday afternoon...

By Friday night...

then Saturday...the finished for now project (the plan is to have the top re-stained and the leaf to match by Christmas!)

We are so excited to have the table ready for Thanksgiving week while Granny & Pepaw are here! Lots of extra elbow room - it's great! Thank you Daddy!!

Friday afternoon amid the snow coming down Daddy cleaned the leaves out of the gutters and put up the Christmas lights!

Saturday evening the big girls and I went out to see the lights all finished.

We got about 8in of snow by Friday night. Michael & I got out to shovel the driveway after we got the girls to bed. It sure was nice not having to do it on Saturday morning.

The girls were waiting anxiously for Granny & Pepaw to get here any minute!!

Eva is 3 months old!

Our little Eva Claire is 3 months old now! She is such a good baby and so sweet! She's increased her sleeping to 9hrs. at night (9:30pm-6:30am), and eats 5oz. every 3hrs. during the day. She loves to coo at us - she really thinks she's part of the conversation. I think she wants/tries to be a part of whatever Madilynn & Elizabeth are doing. She loves watching them. She turns her head to sounds, and still loves to suck on her hands.

We love getting her to smile and we've been trying to get her to laugh (because we can't wait) and she hasn't done it yet!

Trying on her little hat - getting ready for the snow!

I'm sure she's wondering what I'm doing...ha!

She must think I'm just hilarious!!!
