Ashlee's Visit!

Well, I don't know where to start...I'm obviously waaayyy behind. I guess I'll just go through the pictures. Ashlee arrived Monday night (May 16th). Daddy had left early that morning for an out of town conference.

This was Sunday afternoon...

We had lots of rainy cool days while she was here, so we did some crafts, of course! I found an old shoebox and got out lots of supplies and just let Madilynn use her imagination in what she wanted to make.

I finally put Elizabeth's hair in pigtails for the first time...

Here were are before leaving for dinner. It's hard to get a picture of us, at least one of us always has our eyes closed.

pigtails again...checking out Madilynn's crafts

One morning the girls played babies so good, I thought it was so cute, so I had to get the camera while they weren't paying attention.

First week of Summer?!?!

Well, technically not really until mid-June, but its felt like it to us! The Spring semester at USU is over (graduation was last weekend). Madilynn's school is over for spring also and they started the summer session this week. So now she is going to preschool Tuesday/Thursday mornings.

So, Monday morning after running some errands I gave Madilynn a little surprise, something she'd been wanting...

a birdhouse

to paint!
She did a great job painting. She's so serious when she's painting, AND this is the stillest she gets while awake I think! Now she wants Daddy to hang it outside.

It's been warm and sunny this week too, so we've enjoyed lots of playtime outside and the girls have loved it! They've rode bikes, cars, played in rocks, t-ball and play on the swingset.

Elizabeth can even hit the ball off the tee with the bat!

Elizabeth really loves balls right now! She's sure to point them out to me everytime we're in Wal-Mart!

awww...she's wearing her new Razorback shirt too!

showing me a flower she found

now you can see the shirt - Thank you Granny & Pepaw for the new AR shirts, they are so cute!

Instead of playing ball, Madilynn would rather lay in the grass and pick flowers...

It's a beautiful day again today! We just enjoyed a picnic lunch in the backyard today after church. (For the first time in our new house) The girls loved it! We'll have to have picnic lunches more often! Can't wait for our visitors to get here! Ashlee is coming tomorrow and Nana & Papa will be here next week - we are sooo excited!!

Mother's Day Weekend!

Well, Elizabeth has been sick this weekend, started Friday night at bedtime and through the night. Then Saturday morning I thought she was all better, so the girls and I got out and did some shopping while Daddy attended graduation for most of the day. We got Madilynn some summer clothes and me a couple of maternity things. We even had lunch together just us girls at Chick-fil-A. The girls ate and then played hard. When we got home they took naps, then Elizabeth threw up again (on me & her). So she wasn't all better like I thought, so we decided we'd have a home day on Sunday (which actually sounded really nice!)

Saturday evening we enjoyed a little time outside, while Daddy got some yard work done. Madilynn rode her bike around the driveway for a while and then did a little t-ball in the backyard! Elizabeth had her water and thought she needed to carry around her towel in case she got sick again. (Thankfully, she hasn't been sick again - hopefully she IS all better now!)

When I brought the camera out she said, "cheeeese"!

Our tulips finally bloomed, well the ones we have left! The deer ate lots of the tulips before they bloomed.

This morning us girls were reading a book before we went to eat brunch.

I got a picture with Madilynn when we got back home from breakfast, while Elizabeth was getting an extra nap. We went to a Mother's Day brunch and it was sooo good! I got this rose there. Also, I'm wearing a necklace that Madilynn made for me at school on Friday. I thought that was so sweet and it's so cute!!

We got some things hung around the house while Elizabeth napped. Then when she got up we got some stuff hung in the girls' room! Madilynn put on a dress-up dress and for the first time Elizabeth wanted a dress on too! She brought me this dress to help her put it on. It was a little long. She could hardly walk around.

Elizabeth posed with the rocking horse and Madilynn took her picture!

Once we finished hanging their shelves and things I got these pictures of them in their room:

Elizabeth

dress-up clothes are hanging now! (they were piled in the floor)

Elizabeth had to get down and say, "cheeeese"!

Now she's posing...look at those feet!

It's been a great day! So fun to get some stuff hung up on the walls! I'm so thankful for my little family today - such a blessing!!

25 Weeks and Shopping!!

Here we are at 25 weeks!

I had the glucose test this week and no news is good news, so I'm assuming all is well. My belly measured exactly 25 and baby girls heartbeat was 144bpm. I've been feeling her move a lot more and I can tell she is getting bigger! After next month's appointment I start going every 2 weeks - it's going so fast! I haven't really had any trouble sleeping...yet. And, I haven't even had to get out the body pillow yet it's going pretty well!

(for some reason all of the pictures were blurry)

So Wednesday morning after we took Madilynn to preschool Michael took me (and Elizabeth) shopping! We went to Target and Pier 1 (they are about an hour away). We found some cute clothes for the baby and a few other things at Target, then we got this collage frame at Pier 1!

(Here's an "after" paint picture)
We also re-arranged the furniture...

In the entryway...not sure what to put on the table yet!

Later Wednesday afternoon we saw the mama duck and her ducklings in the water...

the girls looking at the ducks...Elizabeth says, "aaaahhhh, aaaahhhh" instead of quack, quack!

And, see that bow she's wearing...She says, "bow" now and for the last several days she's requested one on, it's so cute!!

Painting Party!!!

Last week we began some big projects around the house. The main objective PAINT! But, before we get into that just had to share the letters I did for Madilynn and Elizabeth's room. Madilynn helped me pick out some scrapbook paper and I decoupaged them onto the plain white letters from Hobby Lobby.

So, back to the painting...We had planned to paint the baby's room Friday evening. I bought the supplies and prepped the room (during nap time) then Michael came home at about 4 and started painting. It didn't take long and we were done by bedtime with a dinner break! Sorry the picture is out of order, but there is a sneak peak of the nursery!

On to Saturday morning...Michael gets back from his run and eats breakfast (it was a rainy/snowy cold day) and says lets go ahead and pain the living room. Well the two dark green/tan walls took a coat of primer as well, so Saturday we basically just got those two walls completed!

Here we are getting started - see the paint samples on the wall we picked the bottom middle color - Winter Wheat. It's a light yellow, I describe as butter.

Getting the primer on that dark color

So, here's the sneak peak of baby girl #3 nursery! The new wall color is a light blue and I love it!

Sunday morning all ready for church - amid the mess! I snapped this picture before she knew what I was doing!

Madilynn

When I tried to get a picture of the girls together this is the reaction I got! Elizabeth wasn't thrilled!

Sunday afternoon Daddy continued on painting and got the dining area, kitchen, and the other 2 walls of the living room done - I think it was midnight when we finished and cleaned up! We haven't seen that time since Elizabeth was a newborn!

The girls had to check out the ladder.

And I just realized I hadn't taken all the finished pictures yet, so you'll have to wait for another post!
