Madilynn - 20 months old!

Madilynn turned 20 months old yesterday. I can't believe she is almost 2! She can say mommy and daddy really well now and has started saying other small words like baby, fish (pronounced shish), and cheese. She says Ashee(for Ashlee) sometimes she says Nana and she just started trying to say Papa. Oh, and she tries to mock other things we say like Thank you. It's so fun to see her learning new words and trying them out.

Well, we finally had a really warm day here! I guess it got up to the mid-80's so we decided it was time for the baby pool! We put the pool together and put water in it while Madilynn was taking her nap. So when she woke up we changed her clothes and took her out to see it. She was so excited! At first she didn't know about getting in - the water was pretty cold. But after awhile she did. Enjoy the pictures!

Showing me her wet face after Daddy splashed her.
We couldn't resist a picture of her wet footprint on the concrete!

Memorial Weekend!

We made the trip back to Arkansas for a week, while Michael was out of town at a conference. We had a big time. Here's Madilynn learning how to make bubbles with Uncle G.W. and Granny. She had great time! She could wave the wand and make bubbles, but she needed help refilling the wand, it was so cute.

Here's Madilynn and Nana hanging out!

Some friends of ours invited me and Madilynn to go to a Arkansas Naturals Game with them on Saturday night. Just after the game started I got a text from Michael of a picture of the welcome to Arkansas sign. I couldn't believe it, I was so excited! I had wished that he could've been there to come to the game with us and then there he was. He arrived during the 1st inning and was able enjoy the game and the rest of the extended weekend with us. What a great surprise!
Here we are at the Naturals game!

Bicycle!

Here we are with our new set up. Madilynn's seat is attached to my bike. Michael's bike is the same as mine except blue. (He wouldn't let me get a picture of him). Madilynn loves her helmet. She wants to wear it even when she's just playing outside. It's so cute!

Madilynn can climb the ladder to the slide all by herself! I can't believe it. She is so strong. She loves to slide again and again.

Showing off her pretty bow in her hair. And here's a good one of Mommy and Madilynn!

Daddy took us to see the pigs on the farm where he is working. Michael's favorite pig is the one with the red spots on its back and eyes right in the middle.

More Pictures!

Here are some more pictures of Madilynn from the weekend!

Here are some of the flowers I have grown
from seed. This afternoon I'll be planting them all in larger pots. They are growing really well.

Michael got these red flowers at a plant sale at school. They are so pretty!

The crabapple tree in our yard has bloomed! I had no idea it would look like this. What a surprise! It is so beautiful, I love it!

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day Michael and Madilynn took me to the Reimen Gardens (Got free admission and a carnation). Here's Madilynn and me in the Butterfly room. There were butterflies everywhere I don't know if you can see them very well in the pictures or not.

Michael took this picture of a heart-shaped flower for me! Madilynn is reaching for the cyclamen's below they were so pretty. It was all we could do to keep her from touching all the plants.
