A Date Night...

at Beaver Mountain...

SKIING!!!
Michael wanted to take me skiing on Monday afternoon. The mountains just got 16in. of snow over the weekend and the weather was perfect! We ended up going after lunch (he worked half-day)! They were having the last night ski of the season with cheaper prices and included ski instruction (Since I'd never been skiing before!!)

We had a great time! I was able to get pretty much one on one instruction for 1.5 hours and I was doing pretty good! It was definately a workout!! But so fun.
The night was beautiful and the stars were so bright!

Of course we stayed on the kiddie slopes and used the "magic carpet" lift. It was like an escalater that pulled you right up.
Can't wait to go again and take Madilynn!

Thank you Michael for a wonderful time!! So fun to experience it with just us!!
Thank you Nana for watching the girls!! I'm sure they had a great time.

Bath Time!!

We made it home safely last night after picking Nana up at the Salt Lake City airport despite 4in. of snow that had already covered the ground as we got closer to Logan! We ended up getting about 8in. of snow Saturday night and today.
Tonight Nana took pictures while I was giving Elizabeth a bath!
posing...so silly!
I was laughing at her...
haha so silly! Looks like we are going to have a hard time getting pictures with her eyes open too!!

Sledding!!!

On Saturday we decided it was time to try sledding and we found that there was a little hill in the backyard where we could start and see how Madilynn liked it! So, when Madilynn woke up from her nap on Saturday there was a purple sled waiting on her, she was excited to try it out!
Elizabeth all ready...I even put socks on her hands!
All ready and waiting for Mommy to get ready
Daddy and Madilynn trying out the little hill in the backyard...it worked and so much fun!

Mommy and Elizabeth had to try...
Yeah!! So much fun, I haven't smiled so big or laughed so hard in a long time!!
I think Elizabeth just endured...
Then we decided it was time to try out the big hills at the park, so we loaded up and headed to the park just a couple of minutes away. Madilynn had a blast and even went down a few times by herself! She also enjoyed playing on the park jungle gym, it's been a while since she'd gotten to play at the park and she was all bundled so why not!!
Here's Daddy and Madilynn all ready to go for the last time...this is how Madilynn got ready, she would close her eyes really tight so the snow wouldn't get in them!

Just had to throw these in here... Elizabeth ate in her highchair for the first time on Friday! She likes it much better than the bumbo chair!

The Backyard!

Sunday afternoon we decided to get out in the backyard to play in the snow a bit and check out the river! Elizabeth was napping inside :)
See the ducks...the other homes lining the riverMadilynn throwing rocks into the river...she almost got me here!
Beautiful view...Can you see the mountains through the trees?
Daddy trying to get Madilynn to throw snowballs - that's the back of the house
Daddy trying to talk Madilynn into throwing that snowball at me...she threw it at him instead!
We had a great time playing around, can't believe it was our first time back there!! There will be many more times I'm sure!! Next we're going to try sledding - hopefully tomorrow! And we are so excited Nana is coming tomorrow night! (Hopefully no delays in Tulsa with all the snow/ice they are getting now!)
We are so ready for the weekend! We are going to see some USU Gymnastics tonight :) - can't wait, but first a Wal-Mart trip.
Happy Friday!!!

Elizabeth is 5 Months Old Today!!

Elizabeth, I can't believe you're 5 months old already! What happened? You're getting so big!

I took these pictures last night because I just thought she was too cute in her little sweatshirt!! The sweatshirt is 9M and the pants are 12M! But, I think these are cut a little small since she is wearing mostly 6 mo. in everything else!
We picked up Daddy for lunch today and went to Sonic (yeah!!). Madilynn decided to let Elizabeth try one of her french fries!! By the time I realized what was going on and saw it, it was pretty soggy she probably got a little taste. haha I guess it was bound to happen! We explained to Madilynn that Elizabeth couldn't eat that yet, we don't want her to get sick, and to please ask first!!

Elizabeth's First Taste of Cereal

Well we decided to have Elizabeth try some cereal this morning. After a few weeks of her just staring at us and our food while we ate, we decided that maybe she was ready. (She's also been not as interested in the bottle lately, so we thought it'd be good to introduce the solids and mix it up a bit.)
Here's Elizabeth all ready for her cereal! So big!!
First bite...
She was really smiley overall and really seemed to enjoy it! She ate all that we offered at breakfast and again at lunch time!

Not sure if all of those smiles were for the food, or just because of Daddy's involvement! As you can see he kept her smiling!
All done! She was playing in the activity center while we ate breakfast, and again she is just staring at us eat our food! So glad we started it today, I think she was definately ready!
