Last Week...

Elizabeth has enjoyed riding on the rocking horse in her room lately. She asks, "Up?" for me to help her get on it. She's saying, "cheeeese" for the picture!
The girls got a package in the mail from Nana, Papa, & Ashlee. They sent pink razorback t-shirts and pink and white pom poms from the Lady Razorback pink game a couple of weeks ago. They also sent more coloring books and stickers, the girls were entertained for quite a while!

Here I am at 16 weeks...
I had a Dr. appointment at 13 weeks and the heartbeat was 161 bpm. Everything looks good!

Saturday a friend brought over this child carrier/backpack for us to borrow to take on our trip to Zion National Park. Michael and Elizabeth trying it out...Elizabeth didn't like it at first!
Then she warmed up to it a bit after we showed her what she looked like in the mirror.

18 months!

Elizabeth is 1.5 years old today! Wow! I can't believe it...
We had her doctor's appointment today here's her stats
Weight 21lbs. 8oz. (12%)
Height 31.75in. (50%)
The doctor said she looked great and was very outgoing for an 18mo. old. She told everyone in the office "Hi!" and "bye-bye". A new thing we'll be trying out soon is peanut butter - yeah!
She also got two shots and got to pick out a sticker. She chose "choo choo" a Thomas the train sticker. Then we got to go by and visit Daddy at work. Sorry I haven't taken pictures in about a week. New ones soon!

President's Day - Holiday!

Michael surprised me with these flowers when he picked me up from a doctor's appt. Monday morning. So beautiful!!
After lunch we all got our snow gear on to go play in the yard! We got lots of snow just in the last week!
all ready to sled
Madilynn was the first to go down and make our tracks...
Elizabeth was getting a ride around the yard, although I'm not sure how much she really enjoyed it.
Elizabeth wasn't sure about the whole thing. I don't think she could've been cold, but she did have so much on that she could hardly move!

Madilynn & Elizabeth first time together!
Madilynn was enjoying every minute!
Maybe you can tell Elizabeth's reaction to everything a little better here...she's crying!

2nd time
Elizabeth still isn't enjoying herself
We decided maybe she would like to just walk around so we found an area that had been pressed down really well. She finally stopped crying and started exploring!
checking it out
Madilynn with a huge snowball!
on top of the wall the snowplow made in our yard (the end of a cul-de-sac) she said it was her castle!
Elizabeth had to give the snow a taste - she does love ice and she enjoyed the snow as well.
Madilynn making a snow angel
the result...if you can tell
We had such a great day together! I was glad we had gotten some snow to get to play in!

Our visit with Nana, Papa, & Ashlee!

Papa, Nana, & Ashlee drove up and spent a week with us last week. They arrived Saturday (Feb 5th) around 2:30pm (after driving all the way through with only a short 2 hr. nap in the car!) and stayed through this past Sunday.
They took this picture while driving out of town - just beautiful!
Papa and Madilynn played prince and princess, where Papa would ask her to dance and then they even had dinner together!
"the big ending" - which Madilynn loved of course!
We took them to our favorite self-serve yogurt place
Madilynn trying on Papa's coat
Nana & Elizabeth first thing one morning

On Saturday while the boys went skiing we made Valentine sugar cookies!
Here's Madilynn icing the cookies
and adding all the pretty sprinkles!
Our finished cookies!
Then she had to enjoy one! Of course the one with the most sprinkles! So yummy!
During naptime Nana, Ashlee, and I finished making the rest of the cookies. The girls received a Valentine's package in the mail from Granny & Pepaw!
cards with stickers (they loved) and kissing pigs!
Here's a little video of Madilynn at swimming lessons. She's jumping in then doing a back float.

A video of Madilynn & Elizabeth playing "getting" each other one afternoon!

And finally, a video of Elizabeth looking for Papa one afternoon after her nap. He was gone skiing!
Can't wait for ya'll to come back! We had a great week!!

First week in February...

Wow! Where has time gone? Is it really the middle of February already? I'm way behind on here, so I'm going to try to get caught up soon!
Here's what was going on in the first week of February...
Elizabeth pushing her baby in the stroller
We had very cold temperatures! Enough to freeze the edges of the river, which I don't remember ever happening last year.
Madilynn started swim lessons on the 1st. She's going twice a week for 4 weeks and she's loving it! Yesterday Daddy came to watch too and she showed us how she can go under the water. She's doing so well!
On the first day - so excited!
I couldn't believe they were both sitting in front of the tv like this. Elizabeth is rarely still /interested enough to watch, so I had to get a picture.
As soon as I took the picture above Elizabeth was up and moving again, showing me all of her big smiles!
Coming up next... our week with Nana, Papa, and Ashlee!
