Park City for the Holiday!

Daddy was out of town for work most of the time our visitors were here. It was weird with him being gone so much. Anyways he got home in time for dinner Saturday night (that was the only meal with all of us together). By Sunday afternoon everyone had left. We were thinking about what we wanted to do for the holiday, and it was looking like cool and yucky weather. He came up with the idea to go to Park City and check it out. It's only a couple of hours away and we hadn't been there before. So, we left Monday morning after breakfast and planned to stay the night and come back home Tuesday afternoon.

We arrived just in time for lunch! The downtown area reminded us of Eureka Springs, AR and Jackson, WY - very cool! We thought it might be a neat place to go back and visit without kids and a stroller - ha! The downtown was just right on the side of the mountains and you could see the ski routes! The place where we ate dinner was right next to the city lift, to just ride up the mountain, so convenient during ski season!

Anyways, so here they are during lunch! I guess I'm always taking the pictures.
Oh, it was cool there too of course, there were even some snow flurries while we walked around!

After lunch we went to the chocolate factory for dessert!

Then it was getting cooler so we decided to go check out the Olympic Park Museum. Here's the view of some of the ski runs on the mountain as we were driving up...

We "broke in" our new stroller on this trip! It has a place for 2 to ride, so Madilynn got to enjoy riding this time as well.

Daddy wanted Mommy to get in too!

Madilynn's skiing!

Elizabeth not sure what's going on!

We'll have to go back another time and get the whole tour (when the kids are older). We'd love to go up and see the bobsled track. You can even take rides on a bobsled. They had a zip line ride also.

Then we got checked into the hotel and did some swimming (indoors of course)!

I think Elizabeth is posing saying "cheese"

After swimming we went to dinner and then went to the outlet mall, well really the girls just played on the playground at the outlet mall for a little while. Michael and I found a TCBY and were so excited to get some white choc mousse, then it ended up not being any good at all - we were so disappointed! The next morning we went back to the outlet mall for a little shopping before heading back home. It was a very easy drive and not far at all, we'll have to do that again sometime. We thought though let's go ahead and go while we don't have an infant just yet! We really enjoyed our time together!

I just though I'd go ahead and throw these pics in too since they were on the camera. Thursday afternoon Madilynn & Elizabeth reading books. Look Elizabeth is posing for a picture.

I had just wanted to get one of them reading together like this...

Then Elizabeth really got into the posing thing...
