Randoms from last Friday...

Last Friday afternoon when Madilynn woke up from her nap we were entertained by this little miniature horse for awhile! It was so cute and had been let out of a smaller pen, so we got to watch it run around the field and act silly! We were both laughing!

Elizabeth napped much longer and finally we had to go in and get her up...but, before we woke her we got a picture! Sleeping so good in her big bed!
Curly hair after her nap!

Saturday afternoon they got a package from Nana & Mama. I got a picture of the girls checking out/trying on their new necklaces and bracelets from Nana & Papa. This is all Elizabeth wanted to do with the necklace was stretch it out as far as it would go.

Madilynn with her necklace on.

Back to Friday evening...Michael had to work late, so after the girls' nap and snack we headed out for some shopping! We went to Hobby Lobby for a bit and then got a pizza to bring home for dinner. The girls loved it and we had a great time. Here's a little video of what was going on at the table while we were enjoying pizza and chocolate chip cookies!

I think they were trying to make up there own rap song or something, but I'm not sure where they came up with the idea.

Our Week...

Sunday morning we woke up to some snow! I thought this view of the mountains peaking through the clouds was beautiful. This was taken from our living room.

By Monday afternoon it was all melted and had warmed up quite a bit. We got out and spent some time enjoying the yard. The girls running... Elizabeth found lots of rocks
Madilynn, so beautiful!
just a swingin'
Elizabeth even had to check out the front yard and the front door
Watching Daddy dig some dirt out of a window well. Madilynn found lots of worms, she thought it was so cool!
Then she helped Daddy plant some pansies in the backyard.
I looked over and this is what Elizabeth was doing while they were planting. She's getting more rocks!
We spent lots of time on the slide. Elizabeth learned how to climb the ladder all by herself!
progress...after we finished the flowers we headed to Chick-fil-A for dinner. Such a fun evening!!
Elizabeth has been loving these sunglasses this week. She carries them everywhere and wears them most of the time in the car.

We made chocolate chip cookies for the first time in our new house last night. They were so good as always! We shared with our small group.

Playing in the kitchen this morning before we picked up Daddy for lunch.

Ready for the weekend...even though things aren't really slowing down yet! It's supposed to be rainy most of the weekend. Still ready for a little down time! The semester is almost over - Michael has started telling me daily - only 2 weeks of classes left then it's May and finals. Crazy!! But, we're soooo ready for some summer! And we've got to get some good weather for a few days so we can get our garden started.

Monday April 4, 2011 - Big Girl Bed!

Monday night we took down the pack n play and set up the toddler bed for Elizabeth. She's 19mo. old. Madilynn was 22mo. old when we switched her to the toddler bed, but it was because she climbed out of her crib.

Here she is checking it out while I made her bed.

just precious! So big!!!
she was clapping!
Here's what the girls room looks like now!
They've done really well considering all the transitions taking place. We haven't had any issues with bedtime. I think since it's so dark in there she's not going to get up, but nap time is another story...I have to go in there 2 or 3 times and lay her back down. When they woke up this morning they came into the kitchen like this, it was so sweet!

Sunday April 3, 2011 - Sunrise/Sunset

We have really enjoyed the views here at the new place. We woke up Sunday morning to a dusting of snow on everything. Have I mentioned that there are several horses in the field behind our backyard? The girls love to see them at the window. Anytime Elizabeth remembers them she goes to the window looks at them and says, "Neigh, neigh"! It's so cute.

Sunday morning from the dining area...

and of course, the sunset over the mountains.

Saturday April 2, 2011 - Progress!

Michael went for a run on Saturday morning and the girls and I got this picture from their window of the sunrise over the mountains. It was beautiful!

Saturday was our first time to cook in our new house. We made breakfast - waffles, scrambled eggs, and bacon (at Madilynn's request). Then I made spaghetti for dinner.

Playing and having fun "breaking in" the new house
bath time!
By Saturday night we had the furniture arranged

in the living room...
and the downstairs den...

Friday April 1, 2011 - It's a...

GIRL!!!

We had our 20-week ultrasound appointment Friday morning. Baby girl is looking great, everything was measured and checked out. Her heartbeat was 152bpm. I can finally order the crib bedding I've been wanting, then decide on the color for her room! Now if we can just pick out her name!!

Afterwards we went back over to the old house and cleaned. We really just had the floors left to do so we both got to vacuuming and mopping and we were done pretty quick. Then all we had time to do was grab something to eat for lunch and pick up Madilynn from school.

Some flowers are blooming already in the front flower beds!

Friday night after dinner and a Wal-Mart run for groceries we came home and enjoyed the backyard and sunset while the weather was pretty mild. The girls running around.
Elizabeth went down the slide a few times
Sunset in the background - two pretty girls!

Thursday March 31, 2011 - Moving Day!

We just got our internet up and running at the new place this morning! I wanted to get caught up on all that's been going on with us since last week. So, back to Thursday moving day... We had some great friends offer to take care of the girls throughout the day and evening on Thursday, so we could both concentrate on what needed to be done. I spent the morning finishing up packing our bathroom, our room, and cleaning, while Michael taught class. Then in the afternoon Michael picked up the u-haul truck and a few friends came over and we started loading. We had a couple of vehicles packed up already with "fragile things" when we got the news we could go pick up the keys...it was 4:55pm. I left with a few girl friends and we got the keys and took our cars to unload at the house...meanwhile the men were still loading the big u-haul truck. They showed up at about 6:30pm to unload the truck and just a few minutes later more friends brought some pizzas over. While the truck was being unloaded me and 3 other girls stayed in the kitchen and just unloaded the kitchen boxes as they came in. It went so smoothly! I thought I would spend all day Friday just doing the kitchen, but it was done Thursday night! After they unloaded the truck they ate and went back to get the last few things. (We didn't want to overload the truck and risk damaging any of our furniture!) By 8:50pm everything was moved to our new house and all of our friends had left. Michael took the truck back, and I went to pick up the girls. I wish I had taken pictures in action, but I was too busy (obviously), we had 15 or more people here helping and we are sooo THANKFUL for all of their help!! Here's what the house looked like that evening...
