Our Week

Last Wednesday...Eva in the swing. It was the first time I caught her looking at the mobile.

Friday night we decided to try making homemade pizza again (it's been a long time - over a year!) and we did it! It was the best we've made.

Sunday morning...This is how I found Eva when I went in to get her dressed for church.

She was MAD and had kicked her gown right off!

Wednesday (today)... Eva is 6 weeks old! Talking with Daddy on his lunch break.

Just to remember what Elizabeth is saying: She's constantly saying, "Eva so tute!" (cute)

Then today I was feeding Eva and Elizabeth was looking at her and said, "Mommy, hands teeny tiny!" I said yes they are teeny tiny. I don't know where she's heard that, but it was so cute to hear her say it.

Big Sister, Little Sister

Have I mentioned how big this girl is getting? Madilynn is almost 5 and acting more grown up every day! This picture was taken this week on her first day of piano lessons.

She's going to a group class one day a week. She loved the first day and was very eager to start practicing the next day. Right now the "practicing" is listening/singing along to songs on a CD they gave us that teach music theory - things like beat, tempo, etc.

Eva is One Month old!

On Saturday the 10th Eva was one month old! Wow!! This month has gone by sooo fast!!! She has grown so much and is somewhere in the 8lb. range now! She's awake and alert more during the day. She wakes just once in the middle of the night for a feeding - yeah! Hopefully by 2 months she'll be sleeping through the night (Mommy & Daddy can't wait to get all our sleep again!). Anytime Daddy is around she just stares at him. I think she likes to see the contrast of his dark hair against his skin. We've gotten a few smiles out of her when she's awake, and I can't wait to see more!

Utah State Fair

Saturday after we dropped Nana off at the airport we headed over to the Utah State Fair!

The main reason for going...Little Hands on the Farm - Madilynn has talked about it constantly lately (she remembered it from the fair last year). This year Elizabeth was able to participate also. So here they are getting their corn to feed the cow...

We spent all of an hour and a half and we were done - ready to head home!

I have to say it's just not the same as the Iowa State Fair - we would love to go back one year and take the girls they would love it!

Labor Day Weekend & Visitors!

Sunday afternoon Michael took me to his fly fishing spot on the Logan River. It was the first time I've gotten to go fishing with him this year! I just sat and relaxed and watched. I enjoyed being outside and hearing the sound of the river.

It was beautiful!

Wednesday the equestrian team on campus was giving rides, so Michael came home and got Madilynn & Elizabeth and took them to ride a horse. Elizabeth didn't want to ride, so she watched. Here's Madilynn taking a ride!

There are horses in a field behind our house and Madilynn talks about riding horses a lot! She wishes we could get down to Daddy Gene & Ladonna's house to ride horses again!!

She did really well and even learned how to make the horse stop.

Friday morning I decided to play a little dress-up with Eva.

I wanted to get her picture in this cute little outfit!

Saturday it was time for Nana to go back home. We all took her to the airport. We all had a big time with her while she was here! She helped us so much taking care of the girls, cooking meals, and we even got a few shopping trips in too! Madilynn loved her beading time with Nana during "rest time" and Elizabeth knew everytime she said, "side play" that Nana would take her outside to play. Nana even took a few night feedings so Mommy & Daddy could get some extra sleep!! THANK YOU NANA!! And, thank you Papa for letting her stay so long!! We love you!

Back to School and 3 weeks old!

Monday was back to school - preschool that is for Madilynn! Here she is telling me about this headband she got at school...

On Wednesday Eva was 3 weeks old! We went back to the doctor for a weight check and she was 7lbs. 7oz. much above her birth weight - yeah!!
