Fall Colors

After naptime we went for a drive up the canyon to see the fall colors!

Monday evening Madilynn opening her birthday present she got in the mail from Daddy Gene & Ladonna - thank you for the horse jewelry box & cookbook! We can't wait to make something - I think we'll start with some apple turnovers!

Well, the weather has changed considerably since the weekend. We've gotten quite a bit of rain since Tuesday and it's been in the 40's and even the 30's some with snow on the mountains for the first time yesterday. It was so exciting to see it for the first time (this year)! So glad it's Friday we are ready for a relaxing weekend!!

Madilynn is FIVE!

Madilynn is FIVE today!!

We started off the morning with Madilynn's choice for breakfast french toast - it was so yummy I forgot to take a picture!
Then the girls got dressed for present time!!
We got Granny & Pepaw on one computer and Nana, Papa & Ashlee on the other. It was like a mini party while she opened presents...

She got lots of fun gifts - barbie mermaids, cinderella & horse, ponies, clothes, etc. She was so excited!

We had her party this afternoon at the park. She enjoyed playing with her friends! They played hide & seek and the tire swing.

It was such a beautiful day and the perfect afternoon to hang out at the park. Afterwards we surprised her with dinner at Chick-fil-A!! Such a great day!!! Can't believe we have a 5 year old.

And, the reason this is called Sister Love...Madilynn and Elizabeth gave Eva a little special attention Thursday afternoon!

Eva in her carseat this morning after we got home from Wal-Mart.

So, so sweet and looking bigger in that seat!

This afternoon I put her down for some tummy time and she wasn't too happy about it. In less than a minute she rolled over and I thought it was a fluke, so I rolled her back to her belly. Then she rolled over two more times and I realized I needed to get it on video. So, by the fourth time she's pretty mad, but she did it!

She stayed on her side longer on this video than she did the other times - I think because she was so upset. The other times she just rolled right over.

I think I could name every post "girlies", they all seem to be about what these girlies are up to!

Here's Eva in the bath - she loves the bath and just relaxes in the warm water. It's getting dried off and putting lotion on that she doesn't care for.

Saturday morning Daddy had to work for a couple of hours, so we enjoyed just hanging out for a little while in our pajamas...

Okay, so I just realized I've been the photographer a lot lately and I need to get myself in a few pictures!

Tractor Parade

Last Friday they had a tractor parade through campus - with it being Ag month and homecoming weekend, it was perfect time for a parade. Madilynn got to ride a tractor with Daddy last year, so Daddy told Elizabeth she would get to ride the tractor with him. Madilynn was at school during the parade so her whole class took a "field trip" to watch the parade. I took pictures for Michael (on his camera), so Eva sat in the car sleeping and had no idea what was going on!

I took Elizabeth up to Michael's office she was so excited and had been saying, "Ride Tractor" for a few days already. As they walked up to it she started saying, "Don't fall, don't fall" somehow she knew this was the tractor she would be riding and it was so big she didn't want to fall.

Daddy carried her up in it and got her seatbelt buckled and after a few minutes she calmed down.

Here's the beginning of the parade...

and the end...they were the last (and biggest) tractor in the parade.

I was juggling two cameras so that's the best I got of them. When I got back to pick Elizabeth up she told me all about it. She would say, "Ride tractor with Daddy, don't fall, seatbelt" it was so cute. She repeated it over and over. Then when Daddy got home from work she told him, "Ride tractor with you!" I think it made her day!!!
