The week leading up to Easter we read to the girls each evening from the bible the events of Jesus' "Last Week" on earth. They have learned so much! One night Madilynn reminded us that it wasn't the nails that held him there, it was love! Wow, talk about hearing that from your five year old, I'm still processing that! We pray that they continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord, Jesus Christ!
Around 11 on Saturday morning we decided to start dyeing eggs. Eva playing....

The girls enjoyed watching the eggs and getting to pick the colors they wanted.

the "big sisters" are just getting too big!

With all of our eggs!

With their eggs that had their names on them!

Eva grabbed hers up quick!

After we ate some lunch (and let the eggs dry) then the girls decorated them with stickers.

so sweet, she wanted that egg. We were so afraid of it breaking...meanwhile on the other side of the table while adding stickers to hers Elizabeth managed to drop hers on the table twice and it was all cracked - oops!

Madilynn with our daffodils that we planted in the fall. She was so excited about them when they started blooming! The tulips are just almost there!

Madilynn with the egg she drew

Ready to find all the eggs that Daddy hid in the backyard!

Eva hung out in the swing while the big girls found the eggs....

Madilynn found her big egg...

The girls with their buckets of eggs! They each got a large egg (from Mama & Keith) filled with a surprise!

Daddy & Eva

Our church made the transition to 3 services begining Easter Sunday. We served in the nursery during the first service. Then we were able to go and have an Easter brunch at a nearby restaurant and then go to church for the first 3rd service.
The girls before church!

We came home and got the traditional strawberry cake done...

After naps we went outside for a bit...

Before heading to Easter dinner with friends!

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
